COACHING & COUNSELLING SKILLS
Duration: One Day
Designed for: Team members who are responsible for encouraging and supporting others to deal with problems in the context of their performance in the workplace and helping them to learn
Aims: To consider the competences, skills and attributes required by a team coach and counsellor.
Objectives: At the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:
Define the role of the coach in the workplace Explain different learning styles Explain the coaching styles continuum List the competences, skills and attributes of the coach Define the term ‘counselling’ Identify areas where counselling applies in the workplace Explain the difference between coaching and counselling

Method: The programme will be a participative and practical workshop and will use a variety of learning methods including presentation, case study, discussion, practical exercises, personal reflection & action planning. |
